Student Teachers must attend both the Job Search Tools Workshop and the Meet and Greet in order to receive credit for the current Professional Development Sequence semester.
Job Search Tools Workshop
A presentation led by recruiters from a Texas school district will provide detailed information on navigating the job search process. We encourage you to bring copies of your resume. Pizza will be served.
Hosting School District: TBA
School District Recruiter Meet and Greets
Recruiters from school districts will be stationed throughout the room, ready to answer questions on their district hiring process, interview skills, resume tips, etc. Students are encouraged to dress professionally, bring resumes, network, and ask questions in preparation for the Teacher Fair. There is no formal presentation. Rather, the event is designed to serve as a rehearsal for the job fair. Pizza will be served. Please note that there will be TWO Meet and Greets this spring. One will host recruiters from Texas school districts, and the other will host out-of-state recruiters. Student teachers may choose one of the two Meet and Greets to attend in order to fulfill the PDS requirement, depending on their schedules and geographic interests.
