An excellent resource for campus-wide career and recruiting resources is the RecruitUT page for employers. If you represent a company or business that would like to recruit College of Education students, The University of Texas at Austin provides the following online venues to post your positions.

HireUTexas

HireUTexas provides job posting services for professional/career-oriented full-time, part-time, and internship positions to over 50,000 students and job seeking alumni. The College of Education monitors and approves postings related to our students and programs.

Hire-A-Longhorn

If you have non-professional seasonal or part-time hiring needs, you may post your opportunity to Hire-A-Longhorn, an online database available to all students of The University of Texas at Austin.

College of Education programs encompass many fields. The following is a brief summary:

  • Future Elementary Teachers major in Applied Learning and Development, a bachelors program which includes interdiscplinary course work, an academic specialization, and extensive field work in area schools.
  • Future Secondary Teachers major in an academic discipline and receive their degrees from the college offering that major. Beginning in the junior year, they take 18 hours of professional development courses in education, including student teaching.
  • Kinesiology & Health Education students major in Health Promotion, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Sport Management, or Youth and Community Studies. Within the Kinesiology major, students can choose from two options: General Kinesiology (non-certification) and Teacher Certification.

Tutoring, Childcare, Etc.

The University does not post information for individuals looking for tutoring, childcare, lawn care, etc. on our electronic resources. However, you might consider posting an advertisement in The Daily Texan.
