Biography

After graduating from UT, accepted a position as Lecturer in Biomechanics (UK equivalent to Assistant Professor) at Brunel University, London. At this time, I had not quite completed the PhD, and I was not sure if I made the right move. It turned out to be a good one. In 2006, I was awarded my first major grant as a principal investigator ($290,000), which kick started my academic career. In 2006 I got promoted to Senior Lecturer (UK equivalent to Associate Professor). During my time at Brunel I have authored and co-authored more than 30 journal articles and book chapters, and I have received further funding. I regularly get invited to speak at conferences, I regularly review manuscripts and grants, and I’m an Associate Editor for the Journal of Applied Biomechanics.
