Dr. Louis Harrison Jr. and Dr. Anthony Brown: “The Black Male Education Research Collection”
Louis Harrison, professor of curriculum and instruction, and Anthony Brown, associate professor, have created and launched a first-ever repository for research into the education of black males. The Black Male Education Research Collection provides a comprehensive compilation of peer-reviewed scholarly articles that focuses on higher education and includes everything from mentoring and psychological health to sports and athletics.
The research provides information for academics, mentors, educators and policy-makers that addresses root causes and overlooked factors regarding roadblocks to black male academic success. Visit the collection at bmerc.org.
The EdTalks series is presented by the College of Education at The University of Texas at Austin.
