Longhorn Innovation Fund for Technology Solicitation: The Research and Educational Technology Committee (R&E) of the IT governance structure at The University of Texas at Austin is seeking proposals for innovative technology projects that support students and faculty. R&E is responsible for allocating $500,000, through the Longhorn Innovation Fund for Technology (LIFT), for use towards innovative technology projects in fiscal year 2016-2017. Proposals are due April 2016. Additional details of the LIFT solicitation and how to apply are available.

2016 Awards for Excellence in GRADUATE EDUCATION PROFESSIONALS: The UT Graduate School announced that the nomination system for the 2016 Awards for Excellence in GRADUATE EDUCATION PROFESSIONAL Awards will open on November 2nd and close on January 22nd, 2016. The awards include Outstanding Alumna/Alumnus, Outstanding Graduate Adviser, Outstanding Graduate Coordinator and Outstanding Graduate Teaching. Please nominate deserving COE candidates!

2016 Student Awards for Excellence in GRADUATE STUDENTS: The UT Graduate School announced that the nomination system for the 2016 Student Awards for Excellence in GRADUATE STUDENT Awards will open on January 29th, 2016 and close on February 26th, 2016. The awards include Outstanding Dissertation, Outstanding Thesis/Report and Outstanding Student Academic Employee. Please nominate our deserving COE students!

2016-2017 UT Special Research Grants:  Provides up to $750 of research support to cover unanticipated costs of specific projects of individual tenured and tenure-track faculty members. Applications are now open, with a rolling deadline until the funds run out. Additional details are available.
