Adam Sales, PhD
Adam is the lead statistician in the SMARTER group. He received a PhD in statistics from the University of Michigan and was a post-doctoral fellow in interdisciplinary education research in the Carnegie Mellon Statistics Department and the RAND Corporation. His research focuses on quantitative methods for education sciences, and in particular natural/quasi-experiments, multilevel modeling, mediation analysis, and educational data mining. Danny is an assistant statistician in the SMARTER group. He attended the University of Texas at Dallas where he received a Bachelor's in Psychology and Masters in Psychological Sciences. He received his Master’s degree from the Quantitative Methods program at the University of Texas and is currently pursuing his doctorate in the same area. His research interests include generalized linear models, mixed models, and the analysis of the direct observation of behavior.
