Students often wonder “what can I do with a degree in education?” and are surprised by the options. Our college offers several undergraduate majors that prepare students for a variety of careers. Aside from becoming a teacher, our graduates go on to become coaches, therapists, administrators, and public health officials. View some of the possible options for each major below.
The Vick Center for Strategic Advising and Career Counseling is open to all University of Texas at Austin students. The center offers assessments designed to help you see how your personality, interests, and strengths fit with different kinds of careers. The two assessments offered are the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and the Strong Interest Inventory. The fee to take both assessments is $40 and includes a workshop focused on interpreting the results.
