The ITO provides a wide array of services for the students, faculty, and staff of the College of Education. 

Equipment Checkout and Delivery for Classrooms

ITO can deliver and set up a variety of equipment to classrooms in in the Sánchez Building during ITO Service Desk hours. Equipment is also available for walk up checkout and return.

ITO Classrooms

ITO classrooms facilitate collaboration and allow faculty to use a wide variety of technologies in their instruction. They may be reserved for semester-long courses, a single class, or for instructional purposes.

Computer Facilities

The ITO provides a computer lab/classroom that may be reserved as well as walk-in workstations. Printing is available.

Computer/Technical Support

The ITO provides computer and other technical assistance to College faculty and staff. Submit assistance requests for all technical matters to the ITO’s Help system. If computer access is down, call 512-471-HELP.

Student Study/Collaboration/Recharge Areas

The ITO has multiple spaces for group or individual study, collaboration, and recharge of electronic devices.

Printing

Printing is provided through the ITS UTPrint service in SZB 439.

Automated Desktop Backup for Faculty and Staff

This service is available for faculty and staff computers on the College of Education network. Email help@edb.utexas.edu to request this service.

Instructor Reserves

Faculty can put course materials on reserve in the ITO.

Videoconferencing

Videoconferencing allows for audio and video communications between you and a classmate, professor, or guest lecturer who are not able to physically attend a class or meeting for whatever reason. Videoconferencing rooms are available in the College as is the ability for people in remote locations to participate in a videoconference by using software installed on their computers. CoE Desktop

CoE Desktop is a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). It allows users to remotely log into virtual computers pre-configured with special software. It is provided to College of Education faculty, staff, students, and students enrolled in a College of Education course that requires special software.

Wireless Network

The ITO provides wireless networking throughout the Sánchez Building, Bellmont Hall and Anna Hiss Gym.
