For the past 15 years, I have designed and/or led applied research and evaluation projects in education settings from prekindergarten through adult professional learning in order to improve students' academic mindsets, learning strategies, motivation, persistence, and achievement. I strive to promote equitable and productive learning environments via student academic interventions, social and emotional learning, curricula, and educator professional learning experiences in an effort to increase college readiness and lifelong success.

I have experience: 1) teaching learning sciences and motivation research and applications at the undergraduate and graduate levels; 2) developing interactive classroom and online curriculum, particularly as it relates to learning mindsets, social psychology, self-regulated learning, and motivation; 3) developing and managing research and evaluation proposals and projects; 4) conducting quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis; and 5) reporting to a variety of stakeholders, including grant foundations, university and school district administrators, and policymakers. I also have extensive knowledge of university and district Institutional Review Board compliance procedures and SACS accreditation.
