Emily Brown

Emily Cheshire Brown's areas of expertise are adolescent and emerging adult development and sexual health. She has extensive experience teaching lifespan development/developmental psychology and human sexuality. Her research has focused on predicting sexual health outcomes, such as unintended pregnancy, among adolescents and young adults using structural equation or hierarchical linear modeling and large longitudinal data sets. She also has experience developing and assessing first-year experience curricula and enjoys introducing undergraduate students to university resources, higher-level thinking and meta-cognitive learning strategies, and undergraduate research.
