Laura Estep is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Special Education. Dr. Estep is a doctoral level Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D) who has been working with individuals with developmental disabilities through her work in Applied Behavior Analysis since 2005. She has worked in a variety of settings, and across age groups, with a primary focus on working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder. Dr. Estep's research focuses on the functional assessment of challenging behavior, particularly during transitions between activities, and interventions to reduce challenging behavior within that context. Her clinical work has focused on practitioner and parent training, including experience with trainings via teleconferencing.
