Mandy M Salinas
Mandy Salinas researches the relationships between cognition, perception, and walking mobility with a primary goal to improve human well-being and health. She is originally from Galveston, TX, USA. She graduated with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 2005. She later returned to UT Austin for her graduate studies. In 2017, she earned a Ph.D. in Kinesiology, where her dissertation was titled How Young and Older Healthy Adults Negotiate Competing Task Goals During Treadmill Walking. Her research interests include biomechanics, wearable technology, aging, and rehabilitation.
