College of Education Welcomes Five New Dean’s Promising Scholars

May 27, 2020

Five incoming freshmen will be welcomed in the second cohort of the Dean’s Promising Scholars this fall, the college's first four-year, full-tuition scholarship program for undergraduate students who show tremendous academic and leadership promise, and who demonstrate the potential for service to the community and a desire to improve the lives of others.

These students come from big cities and small communities from across Texas: Houston, Del Rio, Boling, Florence, and Mountain City. They are majoring in Youth and Community Studies, Special Education, Exercise Science, Early Childhood-6th Generalist, and Early Childhood-6th Bilingual Education.

The program is helping recruit and retain the best and brightest students from Texas.
