Center for Community College Student Engagement

The Center for Community College Student Engagement (CCCSE) has released a report that examines on a national scope the realities facing community college students who are raising children as they pursue higher education degrees. According to the report, half of all undergraduate student parents attend community colleges and face challenges including those related to time, finances, and access to resources. One third of parenting students disagreed with the idea that their college supports them as a parent. CCCSE is a service and research initiative at the College of Education in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy.
