Alden Jones (they/them) is a doctoral candidate at University of Texas at Austin in the Higher Education Leadership and Policy program. They attended Winthrop University for their B.S. in Mass Communications and the University of Louisville for their Master's in Higher Education Administration.

They were formerly the Senior Program Coordinator at the University of Louisville's LGBT Center. Alden has held various posts on campus in housing and residence life, Greek life, conduct, off-campus and nontraditional student services, and first-year orientation. Alden has also been a consultant facilitator for transgender inclusion training for various schools and nonprofit organizations. Alden researches gender and sexuality systems more broadly with respect to graduate student socialization. They also study gender identity and community making in material and digital spaces as well as policy implications for equity and inclusion.

Their personal research interests focus on Black transgender women and femmes and how they understand their place in and around the institution of higher education.
