Ashika Ganguly is a Master's student in the Educational Policy and Planning program in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy. Her research interests include access to advanced curriculum and higher education for underserved students, teacher recruitment and retention, and customized schooling within a public school setting. Ashika is a former 5th grade teacher and also earned her Bachelor's in elementary education from UT Austin. Ashika has policy experience in early childhood education and childcare, higher ed and student affairs and K-12 education. She currently serves as Legislative Director for State Rep. John Bucy III, TX136 in the Texas House of Representatives. In her free time, Ashika enjoys anything fitness related, watching UT football, trying new recipes, and hanging out with her dog Rani.
