Ashley is a fifth-year graduate student in the Education Psychology Doctoral Program at UT Austin, focused in Human Development, Culture, and Learning Sciences. Ashley graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Kansas and was a McNair Scholar. This is where Ashley became interested in (applied) experimental social psychology and quantitative methods. Currently, Ashley's research interests surround women's experiences of sexism, racism, and gendered racism in male-dominated workspaces (e.g., computer science and engineering). Ashley is also interested in understanding how certain attitudes and beliefs (e.g., social dominance orientation, right-wing authoritarianism) contribute to White people's race-related attitudes and behaviors. Ashley is experienced with a variety of statistical analyses (e.g., regression, meta-analysis, SEM) and is proficient in certain coding languages (e.g., R, Mplus, STATA).

Ashley has worked as a graduate research assistant for Expanding Pathways in Computing (EPIC) Program Evaluations Services at the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) since Fall 2017. Ashley was also the Subject Pool Coordinator for the Educational Psychology Department from Fall 2019 to Fall 2021. Ashley is teaching EDP 304: Strategic Learning for the 21st Century in Spring 2022.
