I am currently in the fifth year of my PhD, planning to finish my dissertation spring 2023.
Trained as a cognitive and educational psychologist, I am interested in understanding the cognitive processes that underlie educational success. My work frequently engages with the interplay of learning, memory, and socio-emotional processes through the lens of self-regulated learning. With a master's degree in applied statistics, I use a variety of methods including laboratory experiments, surveys, and system dynamics modeling to elucidate educational phenomena. My dissertation focuses on developing better educational interventions using formal mathematical modeling derived from theories of self-regulated learning.
