Erica is a doctoral candidate in the Language and Literacy Studies program. Her research focuses on restorative justice and restorative literacies in early childhood teaching, learning, and teacher preparation. Before returning to The University of Texas for her Ph.D., Erica taught early elementary grades, special education, and served as a literacy coach, coordinator and assistant principal. Erica completed her masters from The University of Texas in Multicultural Special Education and completed her Master Reading Teacher certification.
