Evan Weinstein is from the small oceanside town of Vero Beach, Florida. He is a second year Master's student studying Education Policy and Planning in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy. Before that, he attended Florida State University and graduated with a BS in Psychology and Family/Child Sciences. He is currently working as a Graduate Assistant for Student Leadership Development with University Housing and Dining, and is interning at the Capitol for Senator Zaffirini (D-Laredo). He has personal experience growing up with autism, having been diagnosed at the age of five. He continues to advocate for students with autism and all abilities through his work as a graduate assistant, a legislative intern, and as a member of the Texas State Bobcat RISE Advisory Council. Bobcat RISE is Texas State Universitys four-year residential inclusive postsecondary education (IPSE) program for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
