Jose Andres Pineda Alanis
Andres Pineda is originally from Monterrey, Mexico. He is pursuing an M.Ed. in Leadership and Policy at the University of Texas at Austin and holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Tecnologico de Monterrey. Andres is the Co-Founder of WER Mexico, the first and largest inclusive educational robotics competition in Mexico. He has also designed and implemented STEM labs in rural public schools in Mexico, reaching over 950k + students. Additionally, Andres is part of Texas Invent, an organization that promotes invention education for K-12 students in Texas.
Andress primary research interests include social network analysis for examining social structures and work patterns of individuals/ organizations, and he remains deeply passionate about changing the educational opportunities for Mexican and Latinx students.
