Kimberly is a doctoral student in the Program in Higher Educational Leadership within the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy. Her research interests center around policies and practice that impact student success outcomes and alleviate socioeconomic disparities in postsecondary education, with particular emphasis on community college degree pathways.
Prior to joining UT, Kimberly completed her M.S. in Higher Education and B.S. in English Education at Florida State University and worked in a variety of professional roles, including working as an English Language Arts teacher, a Computer Science academic program specialist, and a program manager within the Office of the Provost at her alma mater. Her experiences as a first-generation college student and working professionally within education inspired her to conduct research on policies and practices that promote equity within the educational system.
