Lauren is a doctoral student in the Autism and Developmental Disabilities program. She has a B.S. in Special Education-Severe Disabilities and M.S. in Special Education-Transition Concentration. She is currently working towards getting her BCBA certification. She worked as a middle school special education life skills teacher for six years before beginning her doctoral studies. She is passionate about empowering individuals with disabilities to become more independent and reach their potential. Her research interests include behavioral interventions for challenging behavior, inclusive and effective teaching practices, and training preservice teachers.
