Noor Khalayleh is a doctoral student in the Program of Higher Education and Leadership within the Educational Leadership and Policy department at the University of Texas at Austin. She currently works as a Graduate Research Assistant under the leadership of Dr. Liliana Garces. Noor has a B.A. in Psychology from Youngstown State University and a M.A. in Higher Education and Student Affairs from The Ohio State University.
As a Muslim Arab-American, Noor's research interests largely focus on Muslim and Arab college students and their experiences in U.S. post-secondary education. Her interests take on a critical and transformative approach, where critiquing the system is just as important as finding sustainable and equitable solutions to existing issues in higher education. Noor's research aims to advance Muslim and Arab student development, leadership, advocacy, and learning in post-secondary education.
