Yen T Chen
Yen Chen is a PhD candidate in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Education at The University of Texas at Austin. Her research investigates the association of physical activity and sedentary behavior to cognitive and mental health across the lifespan. She is currently examining the impacts of sedentary behavior, with a particular focus on health-related quality of life, sleep quality, and subjective memory complaints in middle-aged and older adults. She is working as a RA at The Cain Center for Nursing Research at UT, as well as a TA in Foundations of Epidemiology at UT. Her overarching goals are to conduct research that develops innovative interventions and programs for promoting healthy behaviors and to collaborate on interdisciplinary research.
