Tolga Ozyurtcu has been appointed to the executive committee of the North American Society for Sport History. He is an assistant professor of instruction in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Education. His research focuses on the historical, philosophical, sociocultural, and political dimensions of sport and physical culture.
For the next two years, Ozyurtcu and two other executive committee members will steer the organization toward meeting its goals of intellectual excellence and service in the sport history field.
Ozyurtcu, who has been an active member of the organization for seven years, was selected in recognition of the quality of his scholarship, service, and leadership he has provided on committees for the organization.
