In October, four sport management undergraduate students advanced to the finals in the Sport Marketing Association Case Cup competition in Dallas, TX. Cody Cade, Natalia Coveney, Ryan Li, and Jose Martinez had 36 hours to develop a sponsorship plan for AT&T to increase their involvement in e-sports. The team presented their plan to executives from the Aspire Group, Street & Smith’s Sports Business Journal, and AT&T.
During the Sport Management Association’s annual conference, they competed against 13 teams from around the world in the preliminary round before advancing to the finals to compete against teams from Elon University, University of Massachusetts–Amherst, and Southern Methodist University.
