Serving Texas
Beyond our work to prepare educators, researchers and future leaders on campus, the College of Education partners with local communities to transform education and health outcomes across Texas and beyond. Through research centers, institutes, innovative programs and strategic partnerships, our faculty, staff and students are creating a lasting impact for Texas youth, families and communities.
OUR impact
Our many resources such as the Hook ‘Em Here internship program for future teachers and statewide reach exemplified by the LONESTARP3 collaborative enable us to dramatically improve the lives of our fellow Texans in several ways.
Developing scalable, community-focused programs for statewide success.
Preparing graduates ready to lead and serve in Texas in education, health and sport.
Building collaborative and strong partnerships across the nation and state.

Impacting Research & Policy
Research conducted by College of Education faculty housed in research units like the Meadows Center for Preventing Educational Risk and LONESTARP3 is having an impact across Texas schools.

Impacting Students & Classrooms
The College of Education believes a great education should be available to all students.

Impacting the Teacher Shortage
The success of public education is directly impacted by teacher preparation, certification and retention. However, the number of teachers without certification has increased significantly, compromising student outcomes.
