These projects are more than just buildings and walls. They represent a commitment to innovation, accessibility and community, creating spaces that welcome the next generation of educators, leaders and changemakers.
The transformation of George I. Sánchez Building extends both inside and out. On the building’s façade, renowned artist Howardena Pindell’s Autobiography: Circles will debut as her first public art commission in Texas, a striking glass installation that reflects her legacy as an artist, activist and educator. Just steps away, a revitalized plaza will feature welcoming pathways, vibrant gardens and the Pamela and David Ott Pavilion and Gardens, creating a hub for learning, connection and community.

In partnership with Texas Athletics, Bellmont Hall is being transformed into a state-of-the-art home for teaching, research and student life. From new labs and classrooms to The Fringe, a dedicated space for Texas Cheer and Pom, these renovations elevate opportunities for students, faculty and the Longhorn community.
