Career Preparation: Spring 2022 Texas School District Meet & Greet
Recruiters from Texas school districts will be present to answer questions on their distinct hiring process, interview skills, resume tips, etc.
Students and alumni are encouraged to dress professionally, prepare resumes, network, and ask questions in preparation for the Spring 2022 Teacher Career Fair. The event is designed to serve as a rehearsal for the job fair.
Please note that there are TWO Meet and Greets. One will host recruiters from out-of-state while this event will host Texas school districts.
Student teachers must attend one of the two Meet and Greets AND the Job Search Tools Workshop in order to fulfill the PDS requirement.
The following students must attend either the In-State or Out-of-State Meet & Greet In order to fulfill the PDS requirement:
- EC-6 ESL Student Teachers
- EC-6 Bilingual Student Teachers
- Special Education Student Teachers
- UTeach Urban Teacher Undergraduates and Graduate Student Teachers
- PETE Intern II semester
- UTeach Dance

Recruiters may review your Handshake profile before a session, so be sure to update your profile with your role and location preferences, as well as GPA, skills, organizations, and work experience! In many cases, recruiters will set qualifications for students so they are able to best connect with students who meet their organization’s needs, so make sure your profile is as complete and detailed as possible.
