In Spring 2022, the Texas Center for Equity Promotion (TexCEP) began a series of Centering Equity workshops focused on important and relevant topics around health and education.

We invite you to join us for the next workshop in the series, Navigating the Politicized Landscape of Research with Immigrant Populations.

Panelists will include:

  • Esther Calzada, associate dean for equity and inclusion, and the Norma and Clay Leben Professor in Child and Family Behavioral Health at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work
  • Carmen Valdez, associate professor, chief of the Division of Community Engagement and Health Equity and faculty director of Community-Driven Initiatives in the Department of Population Health in Dell Medical School
  • Miguel Pinedo, assistant professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Education in the College of Education

Complimentary lunch for in-person guests.

Registration is required for both the in-person and Zoom options. These TexCEPworkshops are open to all UT Austin students, faculty, staff and members of the community.
