Sport Innovation Event Series

As part of a collaboration with the College of Education’s Dr. Tolga Ozyurtcu and the Smithsonian’s Lemelson Center, all are welcome to two events centered on innovation and sport. Featuring prominent industry speakers, the two events will explore the different motivations behind game-changing technologies, the social and cultural reception of sports technologies and more.

Oct. 21-22 Sports Technology and Innovation: New Perspectives

A two-day in-person symposium examining the different motivations that inspire inventors to develop game-changing technologies.

Oct. 21 Innovative Lives: Gary Brantley
6 – 8 p.m. (ET)
An evening conversation with Gary Brantley, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for the National Football League (NFL).

Event program committee includes Dr. Tolga Ozyurtcu and Dr. Matt Bowers, Associate Professors of Instruction in COE’s Department of Kinesiology and Health Education.
