About the Presenter

Michelle G. Knight is a professor at Teachers College, Columbia University, and a former middle school teacher and high school college advisor. Her work, funded by the National Academy of Education Spencer Postdoctoral Fellowship Program and the Spencer Foundation Small Research Grants Program, on Black and Latina/o youth’s perspectives of college going influences, has been published in Educational Researcher, Urban Review, Qualitative Inquiry, Journal of Educational Policy, Journal of Education for Students Placed at Risk, and Journal of Education for Urban Minorities.
