Dr. Jason Rosenblum is an emerging learning technologies scholar and educator, passionate about humanizing and ethical integrations of innovative technologies to create transformative learning experiences for all learners. He applies a posthumanist perspective to design and research innovations in AI in Education (AIED) that empower learners while creating equitable environments that humanize instruction. As an assistant professor of Instruction in the Learning Technologies program, he is also coordinator of the Learning, Equity, Action and Design (LEAD) graduate certificate program, within the Department of Curriculum and Instruction in the College of Education at The University of Texas at Austin. His current scholarship examines facets of Generative AI literacy for their potential to support student critical inquiry, in support of critical learning goals. As co-editor-in-chief of Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIIE), he collaborates with scholars around the world to promote leading edge scholarship in fields related to AIED. His other scholarly interests within learning technologies intersect with facets of technology-empowered rural education, experiential approaches to game design to support learning and cultural awareness, digital relationality as informed by Indigenous pedagogy, application of mobile games as vehicles for place-based learning and student engagement, and best practices on project-based learning in online instructional technology courses. Dr. Rosenblum also enjoys teaching the peaceful Japanese martial art of Ki-Aikido at his dojo in Austin, Texas, and playing with his pup, Tango the doodle.
