Biography

Michael H. Haynes is a recognized leader in the advancement of sport and recreation for people with disabilities. He has created, directed and funded outdoor education programs, therapeutic recreation conferences, winter and summer sporting events and national curriculums involving adapted health and fitness throughout the United States and beyond.

2006 – 2017 – Clinical Manager, Seton Brain and Spine Institute, SCI Recovery Center

2016 – Randy Snow Wheelchair Tennis Service Award, United States Tennis Association

2014 – Key figure in UIL’s decision to provide parallel events for high school athletes with disabilities

1990-2006 – Director, St. David’s Wheelchair Sports Program

1999-2006 – Founder and Director of Xtreme Sports Camps

1994-2006 – Developed and directed the UT Adapted Intramural Sports Programs
