Dr. Bill Black is the Doctoral and Educational Specialist Program Coordinator for the Educational Leadership and Policy Studies program at the University of South Florida. He is co-editor of the Journal of Cases in Educational Leadership and Principal Investigator of the U.S. Department of Education Office of Special Education Programs funded Leadership Preparation in Policy and Community Based Reform grant and Principal Investigator of Florida Very Special Arts. He has previously served as Co-PI on a Florida Race to the Top Principal Preparation grant, two Wallace Foundation supported initiatives, and a grant from the St. Paul Foundation. Before arriving at USF in 2007, Bill was an Assistant Professor at Indiana University at Indianapolis and served as the managing editor of Qualitative Studies in Education while pursuing his doctoral degree. Previous work experiences include Elementary School Administrator, Bilingual Teacher, and Community Outreach Educator and Non-Profit Project Manager in Florida and Texas. His work has appeared in various books and journals, including the Journal of Research on Leadership Education, Educational Policy, International Journal of Leadership in Education, and Journal of Values and Ethics in Educational Administration.
