Fernanda Navarro

I grew up in Houston, and I studied Biology at the University of Houston for my undergraduate degree. I have always had a personal interest in astronaut training at NASA's JSC, as well as elite and professional training. Ultimately, that's what led me here to study Biomechanics and NeuroRehabilitation.

I plan to formulate my Master's thesis in the focus of detraining, retraining, and recovery, specifically in the neuromuscular space. I am currently conducting independent research with the guidance of my advisor Dr. Lisa Griffin and plan to formulate the proposal for my thesis soon.

I plan to either continue my studies here as a PhD and move into translational research in the field of detraining, or work in the field directly.
