I am an Early Childhood Educator and researcher with international experience from Ghana and the USA. My focus is to project the academic growth and well-being of all young children through a holistic and child-centered approach. With aim of creating a conducive school environment for young children, my research positionality is geared towards fostering curiosity, ingenuity, critical thinking, and holistic development of children through play-based learning and exploration. As an ECE practitioner, Mentor, Graduate researcher, instructor, and professional development coach, I desire to train existing and future teachers to make practical and effective use of their pedagogical content knowledge for effective instruction for all children.. My research interests incorporate a wide spectrum, including Implementation of Culturally Responsive Play Experiences; Home-School Transition of children, Children Agency in Diverse ECE Classrooms; Child Safety and Teacher Supervision; and Non-discrimination and Social Justice in Early Childhood Education. I am passionate about teaching and aspire to be a professor and scholar in Early Childhood Education to contribute to Early Childhood Education curriculum development and implementation.
