Jaci Finch is a doctoral student in the Education Policy and Planning program at the University of Texas at Austin (UT). Prior to her enrollment in the program, Jaci served as a public school teacher in South Texas, a Fulbright English Teacher in Estonia, and a staff member for Texas Robotics at UT. She earned her Bachelors in Marketing with a focus on public policy and civic engagement from the University of Texas San Antonio. During that time she served as a Bill Archer Fellow, United Nation Millennium Fellow, and a UTSA Citymester Fellow. Additionally, she received a Masters in Public Administration from University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Influenced by the interaction of her academic and practitioner experiences Jaci is interested in researching public policy as it relates to education for migrants, national language learning programs for students, school choice, meritocracy in education, and schools in rural communities. She also has an interest in research through an international comparative lens, specifically with regards to the Eastern European region.
