Rodrigo Aguayo, Ph.D. completed the doctoral program in Higher Education Leadership and Policy in the Department of Educational Leadership at the University of Texas at Austin in 2024. His research explores men of color organizations at HSIs for Latino men.
Rodrigo is the Associate Director for Project MALES (Mentoring to Achieve Latino Educational Success), a multi-faceted research and mentoring initiative in the Texas Center for Equity Promotion at the University of Texas at Austin. Before this role, Rodrigo served as program manager and instructor for the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Concentration in the College of Natural Sciences at UT Austin and the mentoring program coordinator for Project MALES. Rodrigo earned a B.A. in Psychology from Texas State University in 2016 and an M.Ed. in Higher Education Leadership from the University of Texas at Austin in 2018. Outside work, Rodrigo enjoys playing regional norteño music with his brothers and carne asada with his family.
