Rodrigo is the program coordinator for Project MALES (Mentoring to Achieve Latino Educational Success), a research-based mentoring program focused on the educational outcomes for boys and young men of color within the Division of Diversity of Community Engagement at UT-Austin. He received a B.A. in Psychology from Texas State University in 2016 and an M.Ed. in Higher Education Leadership from the University of Texas at Austin in 2018. Currently, Rodrigo is a doctoral student in the Program in Higher Education Leadership at the University of Texas at Austin. His research interests include the impact of mentoring on Latinx males within the P-20 educational pipeline. Outside of school and work, Rodrigo enjoys playing regional norteño music with his brothers and carne asada with his family.
