Graduate Student Funding
Graduate student funding opportunities vary by degree program and academic department. Funding may include fellowships, academic employment, research support, travel awards, non-resident tuition waivers and financial aid. Please note that some funding is only available to doctoral students. Reach out to your graduate program administrator for more information.
Recruitment Awards
Recruitment awards help attract outstanding students to the College of Education and The University of Texas at Austin. Awards are available to newly admitted students and are typically awarded through departmental nomination processes.
Recruitment packages may include:
- Full fellowship (monthly stipend, tuition support and health insurance supplement)

Application required: Admitted students will be invited via email to apply in February. - Non-resident Tuition Waivers: Students who receive qualifying scholarships may be eligible for a Competitive Scholarship Non-Resident Tuition Waiver, allowing non-resident students to pay resident tuition rates.

Current students may be considered for additional funding opportunities based on academic achievement, research progress and departmental recommendations. Eligible students will be invited to apply by email.
