Introduction to Dedoose

This one-hour workshop will begin with an overview of Dedoose, a web-based application for qualitative and mixed methods data analysis. We will cover:

• The utility of Dedoose: How and why researchers use Dedoose for managing and analyzing data
• How to navigate Dedoose: Understanding the user interface
• An overview of core functions such as creating a project, importing data, creating a codebook, and coding data
• How to use data analysis charts and visualizations
• How to export data

We will also briefly discuss the collaboration tools within Dedoose that enhance data analysis within research teams, as well as how to incorporate mixed methods dimensions into your projects.
