All students are invited to join us for Ed Week! The college and our student organizations will be hosting events all week that showcase their work, encourage other students to join, and build pride and community among students.

Donation Drive – SZB and BEL lobbies, SZB 216
School supplies and jumbo snack boxes will be collected at a variety of drop-off locations benefitting Sanchez Elementary.

38th Annual Alderson Lecture and Awards Ceremony – 5:30 – 8:00 p.m., San Jacinto Hall
Join the Department of Kinesiology and Health Education at the 38th Annual Alderson Lecture and Awards Ceremony. This year’s keynote speaker is Charles Martinez, Jr., dean of the College of Education. Martinez will be presenting, “New Directions for Eliminating Behavioral Health and Education Disparities Among Latino Families and Children in the U.S. and Abroad.”

UT vs. TA&M Baseball Game Tailgate Presented by Texas Kinesiology Club – 5:30 p.m., SZB patio
Join Texas Kinesiology Club and fellow CoE students to watch the UT vs. TA&M rivalry game and enjoy a barbeque.
Wednesday, April 3
40 Hours for the Forty Acres – starting at 6:00 a.m.
Support College of Education student organizations by giving during 40 Hours for the Forty Acres.
Teacher Career Fair and Interviews – 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., ERC
This fair is an excellent opportunity for College of Education students to familiarize themselves with the job market and get acquainted with offerings from the various school districts and other recruiting organizations.
Puppy Party Presented by Texas Health Promotion Club – 3:00 – 5:00, SZB Patio
Take part in a little self-care, relax and unwind with puppies from Divine Canines.
Don’t Dis My Ability Presentation by Student Council for Exceptional Children – 6:00 – 7:00 p.m., SZB 323
Join SCEC for a discussion and presentation on the issues that affect individuals with disabilities including ableism and access on campus and learn how you can become an advocate for individuals with disabilities.
