Edmund W. Gordon, the 2019-20 W.E.B. Du Bois Distinguished Visiting Scholar in Black Studies at The University of Texas at Austin, is an intellectual and professor with a career spanning over 70 years. As a leading psychologist and expert in education access for minority and disadvantaged students, Gordon’s scholarly contributions include nearly 200 publications. This is the inaugural lecture of his appointment. A conversation with Kevin Cokley, professor in Educational Psychology, will follow.
