Carolina Snaider

Dr. Snaider is an assistant professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. Her research explores the enactment of educational policy in early childhood practice, with a particular focus on issues of gender and sexuality with young children. Her work is informed by poststructural feminism, queer theory, trans-studies and intersectionality. She conducts qualitative and mix-methods research.

Dr. Snaider is a former Early Career Scholar Fellow with the New York City Early Childhood Research Network. Her work has been published in journals including Education Policy Analysis Archives; International Journal of Child Care and Education Policy; International Journal of Early Years Education; Revista Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales,; Niñez y Juventud; and Revista Sudamericana de Educación, Universidad y Sociedad.

Among others, Dr. Snaider has presented at American Educational Research Association (AERA), Reconceptualizing Early Childhood Education (RECE), and European Early Childhood Education Research Association (EECERA) academic conferences.
