Dr. Courtney Swisher Banks is the Director of the School Psychology MA/SSP program and supervises School Psychology Masters students during school-based practica and internship. Dr. Swisher Banks received her Ph.D. in School Psychology from Texas A&M University, specializing in Prevention Science. She is both a Licensed Psychologist and Licensed Specialist in School Psychology. Prior to joining the faculty and staff at UT Austin, Dr. Swisher Banks worked as an Assistant Professor in School Psychology at Sam Houston State University and an Associate Professor at Texas Woman's University. Dr. Swisher Banks has also worked as a School Psychologist in various Texas school districts and taught as a Special Education EC-12 educator.
Dr. Courtney Swisher Banks does not serve as a research mentor for students in the School Psychology program.
