Dr. Dottie L. Hall is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction and a Cohort Coordinator for preservice teacher education for grades EC-6 with ESL certification.

Dr. Hall's research has focused on ethical campus leadership and what is required of a campus administrator to be an effective leader of teachers and staff, students, parents, and the community; to transform the culture of a school into a professional learning campus focused on educational collaboration in order to provide all students opportunities to be successful learners. Before joining the faculty, she was a classroom teacher and administrator in the Austin Independent School District and served as Principal at three AISD campuses. She has also served on the adjunct faculty of Texas State University and St. Edwards University and was an AISD Mentor Principal.

She received her Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Planning from the University of Texas, her M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Texas State University (then known as Southwest Texas State University), and her B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Texas.

Dr. Hall has presented papers at the American Educational Research Association, Center for the Study of Leadership and Ethics, the New DEEL (Democratic Ethical Educational Leadership), and the University Council on Educational Administration. She is a member of the American Education Research Association, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and the International Reading Association.
