Erin Benton

Dr. Erin Benton is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Health Behavior and Health Education in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Education at the University of Texas at Austin. She was previously an Assistant Professor of Public Health at Winston-Salem State University. She received her PhD in Health Behavior and Health Education from the University of Texas at Austin, her Master of Public in Community Health from Baylor University, and her Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Health Education from Boise State University. Her research focuses on IPV, HIV and PrEP adoption, sexual decision making, hookup culture, and sexual purity (purity culture) and intimate relationships.
