Dr. Terrance Green speaks on food deserts for San Antonio newscast

KSAT News in San Antonio recently interviewed Dr. Terrance Green, associate professor of Educational Leadership and Policy, for a piece on urban food deserts. Dr. Green appeared in an episode of the station’s “Know My Neighborhood” series about Dignowity Hill, a neighborhood in east San Antonio that has been undergoing a lot of changes in recent years. Green appears in the piece discussing low-income urban areas that lack easy access to fresh, nutritious food and how this lack of access can negatively impact the health and prosperity of a region.
