Emalee studies issues of race, gender and class in sport in American culture and history, specifically women in sport. Her upcoming dissertation project will build upon her thesis, which discusses Cuban women who played in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. In her spare time, Emalee loves being outdoors, cycling, and giving too much scrap food to her Siberian husky, Diego.
